To apply best practice methods for the diagnosis and management of skin tumours, with a particular emphasis on pigmented lesions (eg. moles and melanoma).

To conduct research on diagnostic and therapeutic techniques for skin tumours, with a particular emphasis on pigmented lesions.

The Sydney Melanoma Diagnostic Centre is a clinical unit of the Melanoma & Skin Cancer Research Institute, Sydney Cancer Centre, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Camperdown, Sydney, Australia. It is affiliated with the Sydney Melanoma Unit and the Melanoma Foundation.
